Studio Owner & Dance Teacher - Miss Savanna Spindelman
Savanna Spindelman is the proud owner of Savanna Rose Dance Studio She has graduated from Dance Masters of America's Teachers Training School in New York and is certified to teach ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance through Dance Masters of America. She has also passed ballet exams through the Cecchetti Council of America with high honors. She teaches ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, musical theatre, and hip hop. Miss Savanna also teaches and judges dance competition auditions at Dance Masters of Michigan events.
Savanna is a graduate from Adrian College, with a Bachelors degree in Arts Management and Associates degrees in Dance and Business Administration. She is also a dance professor at Adrian College - teaching dance fundamentals, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, modern, dance composition and choreography, and independent study dance courses at Adrian College.
Savanna Spindelman is the local director for the Distinguished Young Women of the Irish Hills Scholarship Program. She also participated in the program in high school, and was an overall self expression winner class of 2016. She is also a member of the Brooklyn Kiwanis Club, as well as the Irish Hills Chamber of Commerce.
Savanna has an overwhelming passion for dance, and devotes herself to creating a positive and fun atmosphere for dancers, through fulfilling our studio mission "To empower and inspire dancers to grow in confidence, integrity, and their passion for dance"
Miss Skye Taylor - Dance Teacher
Skye grew up dancing at Jan's Dance Connection since she was 3, and continued all the way until she graduated from Columbia Central HS in 2018. She passed multiple ballet exams through the Cecchetti Council of America with high honors. She taught/assisted in dance classes since she was 14, and has taught her own classes for 5 years now. She is an award-winning dancer, and has attended many different workshops and conventions. She has studied Cecchetti ballet, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, hip hop, tumbling, and tap. Miss Skye teaches our "Orange" Jazz competition team. Last season Miss Skye brought our Orange Jazz competition team to a First Overall Win!
She is a Graduate of Jackson College in the Dental Hygiene program. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist full time.

Miss Jaclyn Pulka - Dance Teacher
Jaclyn has been dancing for 14 years. She was part of Jan's Dance Connection's Senior Competition Team. She has been an assistant teacher throughout high school, and has been teaching dance for 3 years now. She has studied Cecchetti ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater, and hip hop dance.
Jackie is a graduate from Napoleon High School, and was part of the Napoleon Marching Band. She is currently attending Jackson College, working towards degrees in Graphic Design and Photography.
Jaclyn teaches tap and jazz at Savanna Rose Dance Studio this year.
Miss Kaliana Waluck - Dance Teacher
Kali has been dancing since the age of 2 at Jan's Dance Connection (which is what our studio was previously named) and now is a Senior at Napoleon High School. She attends the Jackson Career Center and will receive her Cosmetology license upon graduating this spring.
Kali has a great love for dance - and a passion for teaching and performing in the style of ballet. She has attended workshops and conventions through Dance Masters of Michigan. And she is a beautiful soloist - receiving "gold," "high gold," and "special judge awards" at dance competitions.
Kali has much experience working with children through her Church programming, dance classes, and babysitting. She also has 3 younger sisters who dance at Savanna Rose Dance Studio.

Miss Gracie Hudson - Dance Teacher
Gracie has been dancing since age 3. She has been assisting dance classes during high school. During her senior year she taught her own classes, and is excited to teach again this dance season. Gracie was involved in the Jackson Career Center during High School working in their program to become a school teacher. She has great experience working with children through this program, and at dance class.
Gracie is a graduate of Hanover-Horton High School class of 2022. She is attending Jackson College to study education.
Gracie has passed her Cecchetti Ballet exam while in high school. She is a passionate performer - receiving Overall awards at competitions, as well as special judge awards.

Miss Audrey Ousley - Dance Teacher
Audrey is one of our NEW teachers for the 2022-23 season! Audrey began assisting last year - and we are excited for her to join our teaching team this season! She has been dancing for 15 years, and has been on our competition jazz, tap, production, and lyrical teams.
Audrey is a graduate of Hanover-Horton High School class of 2022. She was involved in many sports including soccer, softball, volleyball, Girl Scouts, and NHS in addition to competitive dance throughout high school. She is currently attending Jackson College to study Nursing.
Audrey was a participant in the Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program during her Junior year of high school. She received awards for talent (a tap routine), scholastics, and a finalist award.
She is an energetic and entertaining performer in solos, duets, and group dances. She received special judge awards for her work with her duet partner Lucas Rohlfs.

Mr. Lucas Rohlfs - Dance Teacher
Lucas is one of our NEW teachers this dance season! Lucas began assisting last year - and had the opportunity to teach at Summer Dance Blast. He has been dancing for the past 7 years, 3 of them including competition team involvement.
Lucas is a Senior at Columbia Central High School. He has been involved in school musical productions and school marching/concert bands. His leadership roles in school include President of the Student Senate and President of the Key Club at CCHS.
He is a vibrant performer - receiving overall and special judge awards for his solo work, and for duets with his duet partner Audrey. He has participated in musical productions at the Jackson Potter Center,
He is planning to attend either WMU or GVSU for a Major in Theater and minors in Dance and Business.

Miss Kayla Murdock - Dance Teacher
Kayla has been dancing for 25 years. She has studied with professional dancers at dance conventions and workshops. She attended SHIP (Student Honors Intensive Program) in Buffalo, New York as Dance Masters of America as a student. She has studied 25 different styles of dance - her favorites are lyrical, contemporary, acro/tumbling, cheer, and hip hop.

Miss Tori Hubbell - Substitute Dance Teacher
Tori has studied dance since the age of three and started teaching dance at Jan’s Dance Connection at age 14. Throughout her dance years she has won multiple awards as a soloist, competitive dance team member, and choreographer. She has studied Cecchetti ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop.
Tori was the 2014 Distinguished Young Woman of Jackson County and won scholarships in Interview, Talent, Self-Expression, Physical Fitness, and Audience Choice.
In 2019 Tori became a licensed Community Health Worker and is employed as a Community Education Assistant. She is an instructor for Matter of Balance Fall Prevention and is certified in Mental Health First Aid.
She is a proud mom to her son Teagan and loves working with people of all ages. She has another little one on the way!
