Competition Team Auditions

Ages 8+ These auditions are for all returning competition students as well as new students who want to be a part of our current competition teams. Competition team dancers are held to a high standard in dance technique, have extra performance opportunities, and have a love for dance.  Team members must take all classes included in the competition bundle in order to compete - Dancers are required to attend technique and ballet classes included in the bundle.

 

Please have dancers wear a dance leotard, tights, dance shoes, and hair in a bun or ponytail. 

The cost of the audition session will be $15 per child and can be paid on the day of the audition class. Please CASH OR CHECK ONLY

 

Please have your student arrive on time stretched, and ready to dance.

 

All dancers auditioning will need their parent/guardian to sign a Competition Commitment Form which is available at this link Competition Commitment Form

Please bring this form, and the $15 audition fee to auditions (Please cash or check)

If you do not have a printer, we will have forms for parents and dancers to sign at the studio when you arrive to auditions

 

Schedule for Auditions on Monday, August 28th

5:00 Doors Open for dancers 8-11 years olds (previously known as Purple Team)

5:00 - 6:30 Jazz/Lyrical/Production Audition ages 8-11 year olds

6:30 - 7:00 pm Tap Auditions ages 8-11 year olds

7:00 Doors Open for dancers ages 12+ (Including dancers who were on the Orange Team)

7:15 - 8:45 pm Jazz/Lyrical/Production Audition ages 12 and up 

8:45-9:15 pm Tap Auditions ages 12 and up

 

If your student cannot make it to our 1st set of auditions, we will be holding Makeup Auditions scheduled for Wednesday, August 30th:

6:00 Doors open for make-up auditions

6:00 - 6:45 pm Jazz/Lyrical/Production Audition - all ages 

6:45 - 7:00 pm Tap Auditions - all ages

Students will be notified by email regarding the competition group they will be placed in within 7-10 days of their Audition. Our competition teams are based not only on age - but dance ability, class attendance, attitude, and work ethic.
